To celebrate the video making talent within the RuneScape community, Jagex will be holding the first Golden Gnome Awards, culminating in a live ceremony at RuneFest 2010.In a new twist to RuneScape’s previous machinima competitions, players can create videos based on two video themes and across three categories for the chance to win a coveted Golden Gnome Award. The two themes are ‘Short Story’ and ‘RuneScape Music Video’ (aka RSMV), and the three categories within each theme are ‘Machinima’, ‘Animation’ and ‘Live Action Video’.
As such, six awards are up for grabs in the following categories:
* Short Story in Machinima
* Short Story in Animation
* Short Story in Live Action Video
* RSMV in Machinima
* RSMV in Animation
* RSMV in Live Action Video
